When you sit down and join us at BAHA, be ready for delicious dishes, a relaxed but professional service and a warm welcome. Our food is a choice which speaks for itself, bring together many home favourites and blending them with new flavours created using local produce. We keep things fresh with weekly specials and our ‘sharing service’ which allows you to an enjoyable experience where no one is ‘waiting on ceremony’ for everyones food to arrive.

We hope Phils words have made you want to book a table with us at our tasting house & grill. As well as given you and spread of ideas for the dishes you’d love to try. We’re really excited about how we are bring Lake District produce into our menu and also crafting classics with a new twist. Exciting our dinners with new dishes they’ll want to return for.

Lake District Produce

You maybe asking how are we keep it local and what produce are we pulling in from across the Lake District. Well! For starters we work with Cornvale to get the majority of our meets this award winning specialist butcher works across Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancashire and has been supplying fresh meat & poultry, local game for more than 30 years. We also local suppliers such as McClures and hand pick sauces and chutneys which are produced by Lake District businesses. It goes beyond our food though behind the bar you can try a host of Lake District spirits from Lakes Distillery.

Our Sharing Service

Some people may describe it as tapas style or social dinning, or everything served at once. We thinking of it as ‘Sharing Service’ why wouldn’t you want to pick, choose and enjoy multiple flavours, try a bit of your neighbours if they let you or pill plenty of food onto your plate. When you order from our menu which has a selection of small plates, headliner mains, including burgers and sharing dishes. Not to mention a host of sides. They will come together, so you can enjoy steak with halloumi fries, a side of salad as well we some meatballs with truffle fries. Pick a bit of this, try some of that, it’s all delicious.

Why a Tasting House & Grill

As you can see and may have heard from our video, there is a variety of flavours which is why we feel we are a ‘Tasting House’ with so many flavours, we can keep our menu fresh and fun which is important to us. Don’t worry though there are some dishes that are to good to take off these classics will remain firmly on the menu. Where does the grill bit come in? Well, simply put we love a grilled steak, piece of fresh fish or a chicken kebab. It’s though simple pleasures in life which are irreplaceable. Plus when you’ve been out in the hills or wondering around Bowness for the day you work up and hunger and a good steak is something note may could say no to. This said if you prefer more protein from plants we do have a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu.

Restaurant Wrap Up

All this delicious food can be enjoy across two floors at BAHA. During the week relax and dine in our cosy lounge bar and then at weekends we open the doors to our first floor which some would say is more of a restaurant setting.
